If you have a mail server that can use DNSbl lists (sometimes known as RBL lists, or DNS Blacklists), you can take advantage of our ip4r based lookup system. While we do include some examples of how to use our service with popular mail servers below, you may have to contact the vendor of your mail server application for setup assistance if you run into problems.
DNSbl zone name: dnsbl.ahbl.org
Format of queries:
Take IP address wishing to be checked, reverse the octets (1.2.3.4 becomes 4.3.2.1) and prepended to the zone above.
Example query: 2.0.0.127.dnsbl.ahbl.org
Please contact us before using by e-mailing admins@2mbit.com. If you are a large provider with many customers, or are planning to do more then 100,000 queries per day, you must contact us to confirm that this is ok. We may require you to setup your own AHBL mirror server locally to reduce the load on our systems.
